My friend Ben Zimmer is a linguist who a few years ago started writing frequently for the New York Times, and as he got more and more publicity it became clear that he needed a website.
For this blog-style site I again used the Thesis Theme and gave Ben a simple two-column layout for his homepage so that he could easily feature particular articles or news. Because he writes for many different sites and this site wouldn’t have new content, we are pulling in feeds from elsewhere and using his “blog” to post updates of what he’s currently doing.
This site is a great example of a simple personal site that includes all the basics to make a professional experience.
